David Legg is an experienced consultant who brings his engineering background and strong analytical skills to deliver sustainable change at the front-line. He heads our Strategy consulting practice and is our modelling and analytics capability lead. David has worked extensively in clinical areas including diabetes, cancer, emergency care and diagnostic services. His experience across our strategy, performance improvement and capability building practices enables him to approach client engagements with a diverse set of tools and approaches.
David has worked with a number of cancer centres. His projects include a clinical academic portfolio review which led to the development of a business case for large-scale capital investment, and projection modelling which provided the underpinning information for several successful capital investment business cases.
David worked with a major London diabetes partnership to develop their portfolio of clinical innovations and bid for enabling funding. He also supported the development of the long term clinical academic diabetes strategy within the local Academic Health Sciences Centre.
David also has an interest in the performance improvement in emergency care, particularly in the emergency floor. He has led a number of projects in this area including facilitating the development of a new operating model, supporting one of the largest winter pressures programmes in the NHS and coordinating and delivering rapid improvement events.
David studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
