Gideon Shapiro has extensive experience driving change as a project manager and consultant across a range of public sector organisations, primarily in health and local government.
He has worked across a range of provider and commissioner organisations whilst at 2020 Delivery, including:
- on performance improvement, helping to take a Trust from near the bottom of its regional rankings to above average;
- on financial and workforce strategic planning, with a medium-term plan credited by a Finance Director at the Trust as contributing to them leaving Financial Special Measures;
- and assisting providers and commissioners developing their thinking and proposition for how to make best use of the opportunities from advances in medical science and digital innovation in the UK, improving services and reducing cost.
Prior to 2020 Delivery, Gideon worked with a range of local authorities to deliver transformational change across their service areas, with a focus on high quality services for citizens and efficiency for tax payers.
Gideon holds both a BA and an MA in History from the University of Bristol, and a further MSc in Management and Leadership from UNSW. He is a PRINCE2 qualified Project and Programme Manager.
