Responsible within the community: Our unique proposition to our staff provides opportunities to work with charities:

  • Company opportunities: We have a partnership with the Refugee Council where our staff have the opportunity to support refugees in preparing themselves for new careers, with CV and interview skills training. Our staff find this a fulfilling opportunity to work with refugees and also great development as they hone their recruitment skills.
  • Individual opportunities: We give each of our staff up to one day per month to support a pro bono activity of their choosing. Our team members use this time to provide ad hoc consulting support to a number of charities working in a range of areas including international development, sporting charities, education, disabled children; as well as to other community organisations; and many of our team are members of local school governing bodies.

Responsible business management: We are a UK limited company and are proud and committed to paying our full tax to the UK Treasury to fund the public service that we care deeply about.

Responsible recruitment: We are committed to widening the access to the professions and raising awareness of careers in consulting for under-represented groups.  We offer placements to students who would not otherwise have access to experience in a consulting firm. We are grateful for the support of the Access charity and The Challenge Network for advertising our programme.

Environmentally responsible: We have pioneered working in an environmentally sustainable manner among consulting firms. We take public transport and cycle to client meetings, recycle, limit our energy usage and purchase sustainably, supporting local businesses where we can. We have identified our most significant environmental impact as travel. To monitor and reduce our environmental impact, we measure our carbon footprint due to travel. We share our methodology for this, encouraging others to do the same. Our calculations show that our carbon emissions are, per head,~20% of those of a typical global consultancy. We achieve this by using public transport, supporting flexible working arrangements, and having an energy efficient office.
